About The Sheridan

The Sheridan Guest House will endeavour to make your stay as stress free as possible.


We are committed to maintaining and where practical, improving the accessibility for people with less mobility on our premises


We will assist guests with luggage, and generally give assistance where necessary.


Pre Arrival at the Guest house

There is a bus service hourly from the train station which stop approximately 300 metres from the hotel or it is about 15 minutes walk downhill

Taxis are available please book on 01723 500191( Cheaper than station taxis)


Arriving by car at the Guest House

We do have a small private car park to the front of the hotel, spaces are limited. Please advice us when booking.


Parking is also available on the street outside the Guest Housel (We do provide free parking permits)


The Sheridan is approached from the main road through a level tarmac car park.


Main Entrance & Reception

There is a push button bell on the outside entrance doorway

There is one step up into the porch way via the outside door

There are two entrance doors, the outside door is usually open, but the inside door is kept locked

There is a further step up through the inner door into the main reception area.


Dining Room

The dining room is also located on the ground floor

Furniture is flexible and may be moved if required


Bedrooms ( All ensuite)

The bedrooms are located from the ground floor to the second floor accessed by a central flight of stairs. Unfortunately due to the design of the building we do not have a lift.


If you anticipate that you will experience difficulties accessing the rooms please inform us when booking and we will do our best to offer you a first floor room. We do have a ground floor twin ensuite room for persons with a higher degree of needs, where it would be easy access for guests straight from their room across the reception and into the dining room without incurring any steps at all
